This solo was an accident turned into something unique. When working on a project in my music software I went to search for "steel" in the sound library to find the steel drum sound. Instead of typing in the search bar I accidently keytyped on the keyboard and played the main theme to the piece. Musically, steel is a chromatic shifts tonal centers fairly often for such a short piece. The challenge for soloists will be to maintain the tempo while moving quickly and smoothly. The melody should stick out easily over the "steel" theme and with some effort the shape of the piece will be attainable once the coordination dance is sorted. Duration: just under 2 mins
