DuPont Hadley - Virtual Panyard

A Note from your director: Welcome to the DuPont Hadley Middle School Virtual Panyard!

I am excited to welcome the DuPont Hadley Steel Band into the digital space. This website is your one-stop resource for everything related to our steel band program. Here you will find upcoming performance dates, music for both 7th- and 8th-grade steel bands, and audio and video recordings of the pieces we are currently working on.

This site also features our Virtual Panyard, which includes custom-made virtual steel pans. All students can access these instruments for free on any computer, tablet, or phone. This digital panyard provides students with access to their steel pans outside of the classroom, making it an excellent tool for practicing at home and continuing musical growth beyond rehearsal time. Each student can use their specific steel pan within the virtual panyard.

A special thank you to Jordan Morrison, Steel Band Director at the W.O. Smith School of Music, for creating and sharing this incredible resource.

I encourage every student to take advantage of this virtual panyard. By providing access to your steel pan outside of the classroom, this tool helps remove barriers to learning and makes it easier for everyone to practice, explore their part, and build confidence on their instrument. The more time you spend engaging with your steel pan—both in and out of class—the more you will grow as a musician and as a member of our steel band community.
