Di-Jam-adic is intended to become a series of duets based around having fun and sounding good. Hopefully some of that fun comes through the choices the players get to make along the way. Swingin’ Strut gives the players the chance to improvise or choose mini solos to play at certain places (more info below). The players can also choose their own dynamics throughout this piece. Try to make each performance a bit different. When you are learning Swingin’ Strut, keep the fun in mind and it may help the performance to imagine something that struts (EX: A rooster, a college student who aced an exam, Mick Jagger, or a kid who finally landed the jump off the swing).
