Steam is a beginner friendly Cha-Cha style tune that is around 3mins long. The 3 distinct phrases feature 8th notes through whole notes and melodically feature the G Major scale. The D section can be extended to feature some select soloists.
The name Steam was inspired by the steady groove provided by the drum set and it’s similarity to the sound of a train moving down a track. The signature rhythms and cascading rhythms in the B section make this a fun and distinct tune for any band to enjoy. Adding cowbell, guiro, and congas would be an easy way to add to the style of this piece.
