SoCanWe! Is a mostly minor keyed Soca tune that will provide the lower voices with some needed attention. The chord changes come at them quickly in this tune and the switch to major at letter H should give the whole band a lift in spirit. The written engine room parts should give some opportunity for teaching them to stop and start with the rest of the band.
The title SoCanWe! Is a bit of a play on the word SoCa but really is just saying that even though this is a new or young steelband, that doesn’t mean we can’t Soca! You can Soca and SoCanWe!
