Cold Start is a great starter Calypso tune. At 3mins long and with only 3 distinct sections to learn this is a great way to make a beginner sound great without having to water anything down or alter the page. Feel free to add engine room parts as needed or desired!
A Cold Start is typically used to describe an engine starting up from a low temperature and having to get up to running temperature. In music, I like to think of it as the start of a concert/set where you go from no introduction or preamble and launch straight into a tune. In this tune, a catchy call & response section starts and leads into an upbeat verse then a cruising chorus takes over to bring you up.
