This collection of 6 pieces was written as performance pieces for beginning steelbands, sight reading for advanced bands, or as pieces for bands that are looking for something easy to dig into quickly. This is the 3rd installment of an Early Steelband Series which includes 2 other packs called 6 Compositions for Early Steelband and 6 More Compositions for Early Steelband. All of the pieces in this collection are 2 - 5+mins long and will require each section of the band to learn 3 - 5 basic phrases to complete the piece. Basic characteristic rhythms and time signatures make the parts simple for younger players. With a Calypso, a Doo-Wop-Ish tune, a Rock, a Jazz, a Dramatic piece with no drums, and a Soca, this should keep your band busy or give you more options in the early stages with a group.
